Opt-In for Overdraft Protection
Cardinal Federal Credit Union currently provides a service called Courtesy Pay for its qualifying members. After August 15, 2010, members must opt-in to receive this overdraft protection for one-time debit transactions and ATM withdrawals.
Comfort
Though most members will not overdraw their accounts, the unforeseen could occur at any time. By opting-in to Courtesy Pay, you will have the comfort of knowing that should you overdraw your account, you will be
protected. After you have opted-in to Courtesy Pay and an overdraft occurs when using your Debit card, your transaction will be approved, and you will be charged a $26 fee.
If you do not opt-in to Courtesy Pay, after August 15, 2010, your transaction will be declined if you do not have sufficient funds available.
